Lack of Support and Transparency: My Experience with Assets for Life Bootcamp

I signed up for the 3 Day Assets for Life Bootcamp scheduled from March 17 to March 19 by paying £597 on February 11, 2023. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend due to unforeseen personal circumstances involving my 5-year-old daughter's illness, which required my care as a single mother.Upon reaching out to Assets for Life to request a refund under these exceptional circumstances, I was informed that refunds were not allowed after the 14 day cooling off period. While they extended the booking period from 12 months to 18 months, this did not address my issue, as my childcare responsibilities and unpredictable schedule prevent me from attending future sessions.Key concerns with this experience include:Pressure-Selling Tactics:The sales approach appeared to create urgency with statements like “Only 10 spots available at this price” or “book now to avoid missing out.” This led to a rushed decision without full consideration of the terms and conditions.Unclear Refund Policy:At no point during the booking process were refund or cancellation policies explicitly communicated. This lack of transparency raises concerns about compliance with consumer rights laws requiring terms to be clear and fair.Inflexibility for Genuine Hardship:Despite explaining the significant financial burden and my unavoidable absence, no consideration was given to my circumstances. This rigid stance felt unreasonable and lacked empathy.Based on this experience, I found the company's handling of the matter to be disappointing. Their refund policy and sales approach raise concerns about fairness and transparency. For others considering their services, I strongly recommend carefully reviewing all terms and conditions before committing to ensure they align with your personal circumstances.I have wasted £597 which could have gone to clothes for my daughter for school, food, mortgage payments or other essentials and the fact that Assets for life have such a strict refund policy is very upsetting. You would think they would even offer a part refund - but no. Please be aware.
