I have been insured under Assura insurance for seven years solely because it had a branch at EPFL, targeting students who are often clueless about their contracts and sign up without knowing about other options.Long story short, after canceling my contract, I discovered they had initially added unnecessary travel and compulsory insurance, which I had been paying for all these years. Now, as I try to cancel all my insurances with them (I originally thought I had only one), they inform me that I can only cancel after two years from today. This means I have to pay for both my new insurance and continue paying them for an extended period.Even worse, Assura's client services do not answer any of my questions. I have to rely on third parties to understand my contract with them. When visiting the Assura office in person, you never get a clear answer about when exactly the contract can be canceled. This means you cannot cancel the contract on the exact date, and you are forced to pay for the coming years. Calling by phone is even more frustrating. You wait for half an hour only to hear a naive voice saying, "I do not know" to any of your questions. Lastly, their online system is utterly unhelpful and provides no answers.Their services feel criminally wrong, and no one seems capable of helping you.
