Edith Maldonado hung up on me when I asked her what her title was, and Claudia at the local store refused to disclose any additional reasons for the loan denial. Moreover, I did not receive a formal notice of denial as required by law.This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I believe these actions are in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and potentially other regulatory laws in Texas, including but not limited to: 1. Failure to Provide Written Notice of Denial: According to the ECOA, lenders are required to provide a written notice of denial, including the specific reasons for the denial. 2. Lack of Transparency: Under Texas law, financial institutions are required to provide clear and complete information regarding the reasons for loan denial. 3. Unprofessional Conduct: The treatment I received from Edith Maldonado and Claudia was unprofessional and falls below the standard of customer service expected in financial services.I request an immediate review of my loan application and a detailed explanation for the denial. Additionally, I demand that appropriate actions be taken against the employees involved in this incident and that Atlas Credit ensures such behavior does not recur in the future.Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint within 7 business days and provide a response addressing my concerns within 30 days. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s office.
