I had retired in February 2024 at 61 years old. I began researching Annuities in April. I received many different offers, suggestions, and advice before I met Marty in about November 2024. Many of them suggested that I use 80% or more of my portfolio to put into Annuities (qualified $'s in my 401K and Rollover IRA). I thought that this was way too aggressive to put this much into Annuities and it gave me immediate insight into how some of these agents work. Many suggested Fixed Index Annuities for growth based on indexes that track the S&P and others. These were often new (1-2 years old) indexes. This FIA Annuities provide sample "hypothetical" growth tables of 30 year history of the real S&P and data from the "new" suggested index based on "back tested" (extrapolated/modeled) data since there is no real data for these indexes that far back in time.Marty was different. I said that I would like to see $40K or more guaranteed income per year using about 50% of my portfolio, leaving the rest for the market and other investments. Marty was very patient and competent. He was the first one who listened and gave me a valid suggestion at way more income than any others and it was guaranteed income. He suggested a 2 Annuity strategy that provided a guaranteed $41K for 10 years, then $42.65K for the rest of my life. This was a well though out plan that used about 55% of my portfolio which was reasonably close to my goal. The 2nd annuity has a Roth Conversion option that will give a nice tax advantage when I receive that income. I asked many of the other agents if they could provide competitive offers. Marty was never pushy. He waited patiently while I reviewed many other offers. I discussed their suggestions with Marty. I (we) found some misleading or incorrect statements (maybe lies) made by some of the agents. None of them beat the income from Marty's annuity suggestions. Most of them were from the FIA's mentioned above that don't have guaranteed income but depend on hypothetical Market growth. I finally decided to move forward with Marty's plan in April 2025 after about 5 months of making comparisons. He also has a good real-estate based investment offer with a guaranteed 8% growth compounding quarterly for 3 years. I will put some of my remaining $'s into this investment given the recent market volatility. I would highly recommend Marty as your Annuity and investment agent.
