What can I say, what a waste of time and a scam! After two weeks and the clock countdown it was time to bid on a house around €950k. There were only two of us bidding for the last 20 minutes. Evey time I put an offer on, when I refreshed the page to update my offer there was an automatic outbid €1k higher offer put on the house by the other bidder and just went on and on every time we bid. There is no facility on the site to automatic bid, It was too quick for a human to put on the offers as we watched it on another device, we couldn't believe what was happening. It was definitely an algorithm bidding against us. We ended up stopping when it came to our max bid while it was getting out of hand and we were outbid. Next day I got a call, the vendor decided to go with us as the "other" party dropped out, the auctioneers wanted and pushed us to agree on the price we last bid while all along the second bidder bid us up. We declined and house and it was back up for sale an hour later.Feels like a total scam. Avoid altogether when buying and id even say selling as if the vendor went with a reputable company we would have bought the house. Anyone can bid on the houses without submitting paperwork so be cautious.
