I spoke with a representative prior to my arrival and was sold an insurance policy as part of my booking. However, upon arriving at the rental location, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional £40 for protection to avoid a £1500 excess charge on my credit card. This requirement was not mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions during the purchase. When I asked for a refund, I was told it couldn't be guaranteed. I was given the option to cancel my booking, but there was no assurance my refund would be processed.
