I had a crack in the windscreen following a chip that I was too late in getting repaired. I contacted Admiral insurance through the website and the whole experience of getting it booked in for a replacement was easier than I thought it would be.
Apart from having to pay £115 pound excess (which I would of saved if only I was quicker) the process was painless.
Admiral use Auto glass as it's main repairer and I was transferred to their mini site to complete the booking, this involved ticking the pictures that looked like the chip/crack I had (size, location on windscreen etc) then deciding whether to go to their centre or to have it done at home.. I chose home as the centre option was a 3 hour time slot.
The home option is an all day slot which was ok as I could do housework etc whilst waiting.. this narrowed on the day by helpful text messages.
When Barry the technician arrived he was polite, friendly and approachable which put me at ease.
He checked the windscreen to make sure a replacement was needed (I'm guessing if it wasn't he would of repaired it and I probably would of had a partial refund later (idk)).
The windscreen changed Barry made sure I was satisfied before leaving which I appreciated.
All In all very happy with the service and the windscreen.
I have the biggest test coming up and IMO car wash! That should be fun and fine . (I had a bad experience with an old car whose side windows slipped down halfway through!! Yeah I got soaked.. blooming VW golf..
