Poor quality, frustrating return process, missing item

A few years ago I ordered several necklaces from Awe Inspired. They all tarnished and lost their gold vermeil coating. Since then, a certain pendant on their site caught my eye, so I gave them another chance and placed an order. HUGE MISTAKE.Here's why I regret this decision:-Packaging/shipping was ridiculously slow-When I received a late shipping notice from them, I emailed them right away to ask to cancel the order because I knew I would be out of town and didn't want the package sitting outside while I was gone. I emailed them twice over two days, but received no response, even though their auto-reply says they will answer emails within 24 hours. Of course they ignored my emails and shipped the package anyway. -Somehow I was enrolled in their "Goodess Package" membership. I don't remember enrolling in whatever this is, so I'm assuming you have to manually decline this membership like you do everything on their return page. -When the package finally arrived, there was one item missing. Nothing was noted in my shipping email or on the packing slip, so I assumed it had fallen out of the box upon shipping since some of the chains in the package arrived loose in the box. I had to write them to ask about this missing item and only then did I learn that it was on back order. In my opinion, their returns process is unbelievably frustrating and scammy.-Extra jewelry items are pre-selected and added to your order (yes, they try to sell you more while you're returning) and you have to manually un-check each item that they auto-added to your order!-Items default to store credit and you have to manually un-check each to actually request a refund.-After completing the return request, a message said I would receive a return shipping label within 24 hours. After 48 hours, I hadn't received a shipping label, so I had to email them AGAIN.(What is it with this place and their "24 hour" rule that they seem to ignore?)I have never ordered from a more customer un-friendly company. The jewelry is low quality, and the website is full of a bunch of "sell more" tactics.Save your sanity and avoid this place.
