My most disappointing art purchase ever

After three decades of collecting art, this transaction through the platform stands out as my worst experience. I bought a Murano aquarium based on a friend's condition report, which suggested it was in good shape, only mentioning 'minor scratches and scruffs.' Upon unboxing, I discovered over 100 deep scratches, numerous sharp chips, and the artwork had been marred by a poorly attempted engraving of a signature on a central feature, followed by random engravings to mask it. The aquarium's condition is simply appalling. In natural light, it resembles a canvas of graffiti rather than a piece of art. From the outset, the support team was unwelcoming, dismissing my concerns with comments about 'buyer's remorse' and shuffling me between representatives, many of whom claimed they were going on vacation. After months of sending over 50 emails and investing about 60 hours of my time, they finally agreed to accept the damaged artwork back, but then tried to charge me for return shipping, adding to my frustration. During this ordeal, two of the four directors left, yet all were aware of the situation. Despite being a relatively new company, their dishonest practices suggest they won't survive long. No customer should endure the treatment I received, which ultimately affected my health. I have always sought art for tranquility and beauty, not for a protracted period of dishonesty and stress. This is also the first negative review I have ever felt compelled to write.
