Our tours were organised by Eunice and we were picked up from our cruise ship in Faial by Antonio who spoke excellent English and we spent a wonderful morning on the Island. Our disappointment was not being able to see the crater but the weather was misty and most people who ventured up there saw nothing so wisely Antonio decided to show us other sights. However Ponta Delgado was a different story as our driver/guide (Pedro) spoke almost no English so the tour became a drive to some of the sights but with little/no explanation of what we were seeing. A complaint when we returned home raised differences of opinion with the tour company in the Azores and a small refund of $10 (total cost was over $100
