I used to actually like Backstage, but they've really become a crap company. In 2020, I wanted to pursue a career in professional voice acting. Backstage had tons of options that were good for an at-home studio like my own. But the jobs were never many, if any at all. And then jobs started posting for you to sell your voice for AI properties. Which is a SUPER RED FLAG.Like a lot of folks have said, it's only a good platform if you live in L.A. Period. There is little to no jobs for people who work remote or in other states. You could be the best actor in all of Kansas, but they will not hire you because you can't bus in for the audition.Plus, their customer service reps are shit. I'm in the midst of trying to get my money back from them because 1) they did not notify me of the renewal fee and 2) I haven't been active on the site in like 2 years.Don't use Backstage.
