I recently enrolled my child in Barracudas Summer Camp, and I am genuinely impressed how fantastic it was.Here are some of our insights:Warm Welcome: On the first day before arrival, my child was a bit nervous (although normally a confident boy), but the team at Barracudas made sure he felt right at home and his nerves went away before I even left reception. The Milton Keynes Barracudas team has a friendly and inviting approach which helped my child quickly settle in and find his groove quickly.Activity Variety: The camp offers an impressive range of activities. Children get to choose between two activities six times a day. I like this and haven’t seen it at other camps. This variety keeps them engaged, happy, and in control of their experience which is important.MK Team Go Above and Beyond: For example with face painting, it’s not just your typical face painting. When my child wanted to be a t racer character - a race car driver, the team accommodated their imagination. They really get to know your child’s passions and I find my son is really happy that he can share this with the team. He loves his little chats with them all. It’s these little touches that make Barracudas stand out for me even though my son wanted to sleep in his face paints he loved it so much I was really pleased his imagination was extended and interests were accommodated. I have been truly impressed with all team members. Good energy, great with the children and understanding and helpful to parents too.Role Play Areas: For younger kids, there are areas for role play, including doctors’ offices, math corners, healthy eating charts, Barracuda Agreements such as be kind etc and reading nooks. It’s a great way to encourage creativity and learning. I am not sure if it is the same for the older kids.Security Measures: Barracudas takes safety seriously. Although the team recognises the parents and chats with you on arrival they still respect safety and that’s very reassuring. The QR codes for check-in and check-out are never waived and this provides peace of mind for parents and the time options and full days are very helpful too.Happy Stories: My child came back from camp with a big smile and lots of exciting stories to share. He even asked his school friend to join him one day and he did. From Motorsports to WaterPlay and Bouncy Castles and Dance he did something different all the time. On a Friday your children even get to throw a sponge at a team member for charity. It’s optional but a great cause.My only wish as a busy mum, is that Barracudas MK offered camps during half terms too and or longer summer camps. But I’m hopeful they’ll consider it in the future. Overall, Barracudas Milton Keynes Summer Camp is a winner, and I highly recommend it to other parents.
