On Monday, 12/15/25, I purchased two button batteries. When I got them home, I tested them on my battery testerand with a multimeter. One didn't have enough charge to doanything. The other had slightly more. I called the store onWednesday, 12/17/25, and asked if I could exchange or if Icould bring it in and have them test them for me. I was toldthat they could "try" to test them but all they would see wasif it had power not how much charge was present. I was toldthat I could not exchange them because the items have tobe unopened for an exchange. How am I supposed to testor see if a battery works without opening the package?I'm pretty sure that someone from Batteries Plus will respond by stating the policy they have, but here's the thing - this policy removes Batteries Plus and it representatives from any responsibility that the item they distribute in exchange for financial gain actually works. Batteries Plus is in the business of selling batteries. I purchased the batteries with the expectation that they would work. When you have paid for that device with the expectation that itwill perform as expected, particularly when used for itsspecific intent, the purchaser should be compensated when is fails. In other words, I paid for two batteries. Those batteries did notwork from the time I purchased them. Since they did notfunction as promised, I would like a refund or at minimum tobe given an exchange. Unfortunately, I am not confident inthat any battery I get from Batteries Plus would work. Bottom line, buyer be ware. If I could give a negative amount of stars, I would.
