On September 23 about noon I went to the location at 2324 Ronald Reagan Pkwy in Snellville, GA. Batteries + Bulbs customer services if normally great but on this day, I met a rude employee. The lady that I met at the counter informed me about the process to program my key fob and the options I had. I decided to go with my own key fob. She then took my payment and my keys and went outside to my car to program it. After about 10mins she came back to me to inform me that my car battery was dead and they need to jump it. I was perplexed and I informed her that the battery did not have any issues before I got there. If anything was wrong with it, I would have gotten notice on my dashboard. I told her to go ahead and jump it. She tried to explain that sometimes the programming process can drain a battery, while she was speaking another employee jumped on out of nowhere and started saying "oh yes it's dead, the battery is 3 years old, blah, blah" So I asked him what that meant and what does that have to do that I came here with a battery that was fine and now after they touched my car it is dead. I informed him that my car was just fine until I came there. He asked talking and I turned to her and told her to jump the car and finish the job. As I waited I noticed that she jumped the car at least 2 times - she came in twice to pick up the machine to jump the car. After about another 10mins she came in and told me that she was done but I could only use the fob to start the car not to open the door. I thanked her for her service and went to my car. On getting to my car, my car would not even turn over - NOTHING. I tried a couple of time - NOTHING. I walked back into the store and told her that my car is not starting. Mr. Unprofessional jumped in again and stated that the battery was 3 years old and and it says so on it, he can show me. He was flippant and rude. I turned to him and I asked him who he was speaking to? I informed him that I was not speaking to him and I don't care if the battery was 5 years old, the fact still remains that when I came to the store my battery was fine. The Asst. Manager Xavier Reed came out and apologized for the interaction. He explained that he will look at the battery and that sometimes if the battery is almost drained the programming process will kill it. He told me that the employee was not trying to be rude, it is a cultural thing. I told him I understand the cultural aspect BUT when you come to a job you learn the culture of the company. He explained what happened to the battery and gave me the 3 options I had. I finally decided to buy a new battery from him instead of going to Infinti. I will continue to use this store because of Xavier Reed. He DEFINITELY exemplifies the Batteries Plus Bulbs culture I am used to.
