Mixed feelings on Beam.

Mixed feelings on Beam.Items received in good order, but shipping was slow. Took almost a full workweek to be sent. It was Black Friday week, so that can be excused imo.However, two points that are important and are impacting the score. The second one in particular.1. I had to pay extra for secure packaging. It was packed pretty well, but in a way that I would consider normal. Having to pay extra for that is kinda strange.2. I placed my order during their Black Friday deals, which for most shops mean the best prices in a while (at the very least months). The very next week they put everything on an even bigger discount. I pointed out that this is strange, and that I would appreciate it if they could do anything to compensate this. I get a canned response (which means more people have this issue) which comes down to "tough luck, but you can place another order". That is NOT good customer service, and honestly kind of scummy. I should have just placed another order and "returned" the first one, but honest people never win I guess.Also, the support email from which marketing mails are sent is apparently not being read. Change it to a no-reply if that is the case.If the second point would be resolved my score would be a 4/5 and I would update my review to refect that.-----EDIT 12-12-25: They responded to my review (below) and since I can't respond to that directly, I'll do so through here.This response is essentially a combination of the canned responses that I have received. So that says a lot about the effort they go through when someone posts a bad review. This seems to be more to do with getting the "answered x% of negative reviews" as high as possible, and not making things right.Yet again, they go past the point that I made about the timing. Only a basic reply as if I ordered anything outside of any sale period.About the shipping protection: As the webshop and sender of the package, YOU are responsible for making sure it arrives in 1 piece. If what you state was the intention, then you should quickly remove this from your site and start refunding people that paid for this. Start taking care of your shipments, like you are required to under Dutch customer protection laws. If it arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all, you have to fix it. Having the customer pay for that is insane.About the discount code: Thank you I guess for offering (haven't got it yet) a very small 5% discount code, only after many back-and-forth emails and I attempted to file a complaint to the company. I say attempted, because I specifically asked for the message to be forwarded to anyone in the Netherlands who can deal with this but have received no believable indication that this actually happened. In conclusion, this foreign hired customer "service" is really bad, and unfortunately also the ones that read the reviews. Seems to be no way to contact anyone at the ACTUAL company here. Red flags all around. Because of this treatment I have changed the score from 2/5 to 1/5.
