Review Time
I have been a member of Bear Bull Traders since 2017 and have followed Andrew Aziz from the beginning. At that time, read Andrew’s book at least six times and watched his daily recaps consistently for two to three years, hoping to improve my trading.
Unfortunately, the result for me was the opposite of what I expected. During those years I mostly experienced losses and did not gain much practical trading knowledge. The only useful thing I really learned from Andrew was how to operate the DAS Trader platform.
Later, when I started studying Thor’s strategy, I finally began to see some improvement and was able to make progress in my trading.
In my opinion, Andrew appears to make most of his money from courses, the chatroom, and related products rather than from trading itself. That was my personal experience after spending years in the community and investing significant time and money trying to learn from it.
My intention in writing this review is not attack anyone ,but to share my experience so the other can be careful before investing significant money and Time. I hope it helps some traders avoid losing thousands of dollars and many years chasing something that may not work for them.
I’ve been a member of his community for over a year now, and I followed him for a while before that. At first, I was really impressed—he stood out as transparent and honest, especially when he shared his P/L and stuff like that. But my opinion changed pretty quickly. He pushes and advertises his courses way too hard, selling anything that moves. He also takes ideas from other software and companies, like Bookmap, and then creates his own version—calling it “Atlas” or whatever—and hypes it as a total game changer. Meanwhile, he used to say Bookmap wasn’t even necessary to succeed. It’s basically a copycat.Even when you look at the P/L he shares, it feels off because it comes from 4-5 different accounts. You have to wonder how many more he’s got hidden. He occasionally posts his equity curve from Interactive Brokers, and the most recent one showed him hitting 10 mil. But he shows you the account value, not actual performance. Anyone with an IB account knows “value” is just that—value. If I deposited 100k, the equity curve would climb anyway, especially since he holds VOO and the market’s been on fire for the past couple of years. A lot of that growth is probably just the bull market doing its thing. I could show my 401k equity curve and look like a genius too.The point is, you think he’s being transparent, but it’s really just a facade. You have no real idea how much of that money comes from actual day trading versus all the courses, videos, and other stuff he tries so hard to sell. As the saying goes: if you’re that successful, why do you need to hustle YouTube videos and online courses? Don’t give me the “I just love to teach” line. Watch out!
I joined Andrew Aziz’s paid trading community bear bull traders elite membership and found it not worth it. His strategies are vague and not systematic. I was also being promoted to buy thousands of dollar worth of additional course in trading terminal.com. In addition, I spends thousands of dollar on softwares that is not necessary(DAS Trader pro and Bookmap etc.) I am not sure whether those mentors in trade room are even profitable. I found real trading material that ACTUALLY teaches you how to trade with bars with Al Brooks price action and SMC/ICT concept. And the proper way to start with trading is to open up a prop firm account rather than risking your own capital. Aziz never mentioned any prop firm since I believe his trading style cannot survive prop firm’s risk management rules.
I subscribed to the monthly plan but didn’t find much value in it. There’s a heavy use of jargon, and while some strategies may work occasionally (as the saying goes, even a broken clock is right twice a day), the overall guidance didn’t feel consistently actionable. The community tends to highlight winning trades while glossing over losses, which creates an incomplete and somewhat misleading picture. Additionally, the language and tone used by some moderators felt unprofessional and lacked the polish I expected. Overall, it was an okay experience, but in my view, not worth the subscription cost.

Andrew only makes money from his community and not from trading. He is a gambler who doesn't know how to properly trade. Sure he posts about his big wins, but he has many more big losses, I wonder why he doesn't show his pnl for over the years? There was one year where he lost over 1 million. He is just sizing up using all of the money from selling bs courses and communities. When you sign up to his community you are then further funnelled to tradingterminal.com where they urge you to purchase courses. Then they also push peakcapital trading, which is just all the trading resources already available repackaged with some additional stuff like coaching. I wasted years in this community. When I left I started finding success on how to actually trade.
I started following BBT YouTube channel after reading one of Andrew’s books. I decided to give BBT a try 2 weeks ago, and after less than 1 week I went ahead and commit for an entire year. I think action speaks louder than words. I’ve been in many trading groups, BBT definitely offers tremendous value and I highly recommend anyone who’s embarking upon a day trading journey to give it a try!
My unbiased opinion is that the content of the book is valuable for the target audience it is supposed to be directed at. I have read questionable opinions from 'experienced traders' who criticized the content and, myself, decided to go ahead and buy it. My only question, which probably will remain answered, is why 'experienced traders' or 'advanced traders' would look for a 'beginner's guide to trading tools'? The title of the book is extremely fair on this point, targeting the type of audience that is interested in gaining knowledge about trading. The book leaves aside the complicated financial jargon used by Wall Street gurus and explains complicated concepts and strategies in an understandable way for the novice reader (like me) on the topic. I am very critic - possibly excessively sometimes - about everything I buy because sellers typically overvalue their items to make you buy them and then, many times, your expectations are disappointed. I rarely find items that satisfy me in full and when it happens it is no- brainer for me to recognize it. This has been the case for this book. The price under £3 for the kindle version is very honest. We are talking about less than £3 for 350 pages with valuable content. I am very happy with the purchase and ordered the hard copy version as well for my book collection. Well done to the author.
So I had my initial interest in Day Trading first week of April 2021. I am one to do thorough research before joining or buying anything. Trustpilot is one of the websites I go by, and as a result of reading the review below by Alan McGregor I was very hesitant to buy the book How to Day Trade for a Living, and wary of Andrew Aziz. Luckily, I do do my research, and decided to go for it eventually. 10 weeks later into my day trading journey, I am inclined to correct the below review so no one else misses out. How to Day Trade for a living is an excellent book for a beginner. I had very little idea about day trading and the book painted a very good picture for me. It does not try to leer you into Day Trading, on the contrary, there are enough warnings about the risky aspect of it and the requirement of hard work and education before joining. I did join the BBT chatroom and website, for a month, and I can say they have extensive and valuable learning material. Andrew is a genuine guy, he is honest and does not lead anyone to a false pretence. The chatroom is a good community and it helped me a lot. In conclusion, I recommend the book and the community for beginners like myself. As for karma, I think Andrew will have a good one coming back to him thanks to his contribution to the absolute beginner!
The author (Mr. Aziz), in his ebook, gratiously offers his readers the opportunity to join his chat room. That's right at the start of the book. So, of course, interested, me, defintely. All I find is BS. A subscription for 39$ a month. I need to set up a website like this, but I'm not an evil psycho who takes from the poor. F you C! Karma mofo. You'll be back again but next time much worse...I'm glad I'm the first one who found him before some positive reviews suddenly appeared. Be warned my fellow man. Be warned.
