Visited Norwich Riverside this evening - a party of 4. A bite to eat before a cinema visit. We allowed 1:45hrs. In that time they took a while to get us seated. They took longer than normal to take a drinks order - they also got the order wrong. Food was ordered - too long for food to be prepared. I tried to get waiters/waitresses attention for a dessert order but it was like they were ignoring us. Ordered desserts - 25minutes later I went up to the counter to ask where they were - the waitress walked into the kitchen (I could see & hear her through the swing doors)⦠the order hadnāt even been placed! Time up! We had to cancel the dessert order as the 1:45hrs was done and the cinema awaited. The waitress rolled her eyes when I said to cancel the order as we had to leave. I also overheard the manager (?) shout FFS! No apology. No empathy. No emotion behind the waiter who took the payment. No offer of a resolution. We left completely empty and unenthusiastic for the cinema night ahead after a shocking show of (lack of) customer service.
