I 'dated' 3 'women' on Bestdates.com. I have made a few observations:
But first: my overall impression: it is the 'women's' job to keep you online as long as possible, spending 2 'credits' per minute. Credits are expensive. Opening 'letters' during a conversation costs an extra 50 credits (about $20.00). Trading pictures also costs more. It is EASY to spend $150.00 in an evening, and have nothing but bills to show for it. (I've done it).
1) Women WILL NOT leave bestdates.com to meet you at a less expensive venue, e.g. a free chat room; you must stay with them on expensive bestdates.
2) 'Women' will tell you within the first 3 minutes that you are the man of their dreams, And that they want Only You! Bogus.
Conversation might become sexy, but never more than 'R'-rated on their part. Pictures are never more than 'R'-rated on their part, but I have been asked to provide fully nude pictures of myself. (Do not even think of doing that.)
3) They are so certain that you are THE ONE that they send you virtual 'gifts', and tell you that if you like them, you must prove it by sending them a return virtual 'gift'. A SMALL gift, e.g. an 80-credit "box of chocolate" will run you about $60.00. Most gifts cost hundreds of credits.
4) There is a long pause between the time that you write something to 'her' and the time that 'she' answers back. That means that either 'your' woman is conversing with multiple men at the same time, or they are waiting for AI to suggest an answer. Assuming that you aren't interacting with a BOT in the first place.
I did have a brief interaction with a "woman from China" that COULD have been legitamate, but I have my doubts; I ran out of credits and left bestdates. Permanently.
MY EDUCATED OPINION: BESTDATES.COM IS A SCAM.
