I think the purpose of the program is provide knowledge and skills. And I think it was mostly effective at that except for several things. For example knowing about avoidance behaviors and core beliefs is arguably what I came here to learn about, before I signed up I just realized that the problem I had was actually anxiety and not just 'me being lazy' or 'me being an introvert', in a sense I gained more knowledge because I looked again at what was right in front of me. I would recommend a couple of things. For one maybe mention somewhere that you don't need to go directly into the deep end as far as facing fears, I've been starting off where I could, driving intentionally and doing small social interactions where I could, and although I have yet to get rid of it all I have been able to do more than I could before I started this program. What this did for me was allow me to create an anxiety map and allowed me to discover what many of my anxieties were. For example I realized I am afraid of not belonging, wanted to have self-worth a lot, fear of unhappiness, fear of purposeless, etc. And while I'm not a psychologist and don't really understand my fears it provided an essential service which was that before the program I didn't know what my fears were at all. Here's an example of how it worked for me. I was home alone at one point and felt kind of weird about it, I asked myself what I wanted and through a bit of trial and error realized I had a fear of failure, because I was alone I felt like I couldn't get the things I wanted from life like being social or having relationships. If I didn't do this technique I would've thought I was just afraid of being alone, and I couldn't really reassure myself or do anything about it because I didn't understand what the fear was in the first place. Maybe this doesn't apply for everyone but it worked for me.
