I like the app overall. The options for sleep in particular are very good and I like the way it allows you to layer your favourite relaxing sounds, combine with music etc, so very ‘bespoke’ from that perspective. There are all sorts of different styles of relaxing sounds including music, stories, white/green/pink etc ‘noise’, sounds…which you can use a timer with to turn off or just leave it running.I use it in combination with another app, as there are some things I prefer on there.The only real negative is the sleep recorder, which is not accurate at all really. It’s interesting to hear what I am doing in my sleep when I do get some but I suffer with insomnia and I know this recorder is unscientific and inaccurate. I turned it on last night at 12am and could not sleep. So whilst it was recording my ‘sleep’ I was using my phone and doing other things but it still logged me as having moments of REM and deep sleep. I turned it off at 02:30 without sleeping for a second as I couldn’t see the point of leaving it running and noticed the ‘insights’ log had registered me as having slept a little which I most definitely hadn’t! It also has labels for the sounds it hears when you fall asleep but struggles to identify sounds correctly, logging movement as snoring or sneezing for example. I live in a pretty much silent area and it regularly thinks it’s heard traffic when there isn’t any. If you ignore anything related to the recording option, it’s a pretty good app and I believe it will help a lot of people needing relaxation techniques and sleep support. It frequently works for me, just not all the time.
