It seems this was too much for this colossus of the betting industry to bear and so this was where my problems began.Having sought to withdraw my funds I was told I first needed to have my ID documents verified. Fair enough, but having submitted the required docs this process then required three chat sessions, several unanswered e-mails, a complaint via Sportsbook Review and a month of procrastination to accomplish. During one of the chat sessions I was actually taunted by one of the operators for having the temerity to check up on the process which was taking so long. During all this time my withdrawal request was being held on ice, and it took a lot of delving into the website to find any record of it which would enable me to screenshot it.When SBR got on the case and Betway eventually approved my docs I was sent an e-mail heralding the "great news" that my docs had finally been approved, but no apology nor explanation for the delay was forthcoming.Some weeks later I placed a bet of just over £11 (the maximum stake allowed!) on an enhanced odds fixture and it won, returning me the grand total - including my stake - of just over £33. A few hours later I received a grumpy e-mail informing me that I would henceforth be barred from ever participating in a Betway promotion again.When Betway first arrived onto the scene some years ago they were a really fresh and decent outfit, but their attitude has deteriorated terribly. Whilst this company isn't a scam operation, there is no good reason to open an account with such a petty and unprofessional set-up when there are far better ones out there.
