Took out insurance with this dodgy company on 5th Feb then received an email on the 7th Feb saying they were charging me 14.95 extra admin for unspecified changes after checking the CUE database. If I cancel the policy they will charge £35 fee for 'setup' even though the policy has not started yet. Avoid this company as they obviously quote a lower premium to deliberately charge more afterwards a bogus 'admin fee'. I've never heard of any other insurance company that charges a huge cancellation fee during 'cooling off' and before a policy even starts! Oh an if you try to turn off auto renewal on their website (when you finally find the option) you will get an error message saying 'Regrettably due to technical difficulties we are unable to continue with your request at this time.'. I wonder what trading standards will think of my report? pretty sure it's covered under 'they weren’t clear about the price or added on extra costs'.
