I had a really good experience with bimmer-remote . I got the code from them and all the steps were pretty straightforward. I was able to have Apple Carplay in 2018 BMW 330i. Their response was pretty quick aswell. A local guy wanted $500 CAD for this job but thankfully i found Bimmer Remote code and it was done under $100.
