I’d been using the basic TENS UNIT ($49.00 on Amazon) for many years and loved that unit. A friend of mine wholeheartedly I pay $500.00 for the biowave. I was impressed with how quickly they shipped and excitingly I opened the box, read the directions then get it going.The first thing that jumped out at me was biowave only uses 2 pads versus the 4 on the TENS UNIT. So I figured their 2 pads must still be much more powerful since it cost $450.00 more than the TENS UNIT. The most important factor for me on any device is that the pads are sticky enough to hold it down and last longer. A couple more negative issues but I don’t feel like continuing. However I must add that the cheap basic TENS UNITS runs rings around the biowave and destroys the “features” used to SELL their inferior product…..
