Was gifted a BirdAir for X-Mas 2021. Quite pricey. $500. While I love riding it, I noticed very early on that anytime you take a short hiatus from using the scooter, the battery goes down to fumes where it won’t power on even with the charger plugged in. I initially thought it was a battery issue as the charge wouldn’t seem to hold. But come to find out this is just the norm. I spoke with a rep over the phone and found out that they have a tool in the repair center which essentially brings the charge back. Won’t share with me what it is. But for $50 in shipping and $100 “repair cost” they’ll fix it for me. Just don’t with these guys. Best Buy has discontinued selling them. The customer support is abysmal. One of the more shameful experiences I’ve had for nearly two years trying to reach a peaceful resolution with them. Seeing their scooters in cities like Austin (TX) and Milan (Italy) makes me sick people are contributing to their business. I would 100% spend the extra money on any other scooter as it’ll save you the time, headaches and money in the long run.
