I found birds eye chicken burgers in my local shop and instantly bright them. I love a good chicken burger as do my children. I got them home and decided to cook them for tea along with a few other bits, now the only problem that remained was who out of the 3 of us would get the fourth burger. After much thought and consideration I decided to be a great dad and give it to the kids allowing them half each. At the dinner table I could no longer contain my excitement and took my first bight of my Birdseye chicken burger. What did I think? Let's put it this way I'm glad the kids got the last one because it was dreadful. When I opened the box I was disheartened once I saw how thin they were, but I didn't let it bring me down. After cutting into it I noticed that there was hardly any chicken in it. There's more chicken in Quorn than in these burgers. But that wasn't the worst thing about them, the worst thing was the taste. The only thing I could taste was onion. It overpowered the whole thing and ruined everything. I might as well have eaten an onion straight out of the cupboard. A bag of onions are cheaper than these, and you get the same results when eating them. How bad must the chicken and other ingredients be if they have to hide the taste with onion? Like I said dreadful and will not be buying again.
