Poor Customer Service and Early Toilet Closure at King’s Cross Store

I had a really unpleasant experience at the Blank Street King’s Cross store on 18/10/2025 around 8:50pm. I’d travelled quite far to treat myself, but when I arrived I urgently needed the toilet. Even though the store didn’t close until 9pm, the toilets had already been cleaned and locked early. Staff refused to let me use them, even after I explained my situation.They offered me a refund since I wouldn’t have been able have my drink and travel all the way home needing the toilet, but then one of the young male staff members started giving me attitude and speaking to me sarcastically. He even asked if I’d still want to use the toilet “if it wasn’t clean” — yes, I would have, because I was desperate. Instead of being understanding, he continued to argue and was really rude until I left the store feeling upset and angry.As a regular Blank Street customer, I found this behaviour completely unacceptable. Toilets should not be closed before the store itself closes, and staff should treat customers with basic respect. Some people, like myself, have medical conditions that make access to toilets important.A completely wasted trip and a horrible experience — I won’t be returning to this location.
