Saw on their website a swivel chair I thought would suit me. But before ordering I emailed with a couple of questions. 1. Would there be a need for some assembly of the chair. 2. Do they offer a doorstep delivery service or would they bring the chair to my flat.I am elderly and live in a retirement development. So, I need delivery to my flat as it would be impossible for me to get the chair to my flat from the street. The replies were quick but sadly advised that some assembly is required and their delivery company will only deliver to the main front door as they are not allowed to deliver the item above the ground floor. They further suggested I ask a neighbour for help. As we are all in our 70s and 80s, help from a neighbour would not be possible. I would have been happy to pay extra for delivery direct to me but that was not offered.I long for the old days when if you bought a piece of furniture it would arrive fully assembled and delivered direct to the room you wanted it in. Wishful thinking.
