The most horrible night in a hotel ever!I paid for 2 nights at the Gardner’s Inn in Blackheath on a night of sub zero temperatures. Heating was totally inadequate and non existent at night. It is actually turned off at night! See photo of small vent in very high ceiling. There was absolutely no way I could contact anyone in the hotel- no after hour or emergency contact number. I hobbled down the stairs with shocking arthritis and sciatica as a result and left a message on hotel phone to alert staff this morning at 8 am. The manager this evening showed no understanding and no customer service skills whatever. The matter will go to Fair Trading. To top off the experience the tv didn’t work and the bed was hard as rocks.
