I have used Booking.com for years because it is a well-known name and they should therefore offer good customer support instead of having to handle individual hotel owners. The first time I had a problem: their support is terrible. Hackers accessed the booking account of our host and send us a link for payment. Since the email came from Booking.com and also the message was found in the Booking-app, it seemed legit. However apparently it was a message from hackers and we lost ~€350 thanks to this issue. Customer support at first reacted nice, but after a month of asking for additional documents they just do not respond anymore (two weeks now and we asked for an update three times)
