Very Disappointing Experience with Booking.com
I had an extremely bad experience with Booking.com. I searched for a hotel for a family of four — two adults and two children. The website showed me options based on my search criteria. I selected one of those options and completed the booking.
Two days before our flight, I noticed that the reservation was somehow made for only two people. I immediately contacted customer support. They called me back and asked if I had a screenshot proving my original search. If not, they said they would cancel my booking.
At the same time, both the website and the hotel were sending me emails offering insurance for FOUR people — clearly showing that the system was aware this was a family booking. Yet they insisted that I had made a mistake.
How is that possible if your website shows results based on my search for two adults and two children?
In the end, with only two days left before departure and plane tickets already purchased, they cancelled my hotel booking. I was told I would receive a full refund — but in reality, I did not receive the full amount back.
Thank you, Booking.com, for handling this in such an unfair and dishonest way. This was extremely stressful and unprofessional.
