I was completely new to the world of bookkeeping when I started my journey in August 2025. I’ve worked in finance for the better part of two decades, however all of which has been in a corporate roll, none of which in bookkeeping. I came across an ad to start a bookkeeping business, and then completely ignored it. However, the ads kept coming, so I decided to look into it. I took Bill’s 5 day Keyboard Rich Challenge, and was amazed how easy it could be to start my own business. After mulling it over for a few days, I decided to enroll into the Booming Bookkeeping Business Mentorship program. Best decision I could’ve made. Within one month’s time, I was a business owner! I went through the modules, taking advantage of downtime at my job, and learned how to become a bookkeeper. Bill and his staff do a great job teaching you the basics as well as helping you to learn online marketing. Within 60 days after starting the program, got all my QuickBooks certifications completed, got a website going, set up social media for the business, and got my first client! I know I have a long way to go before I can quit my day job, by the foundation that Bill, Carrie, Tom and the others have helped me establish I know will get me there soon enough.
