The cottage itself is absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen is impressively equipped, the living room is spacious and welcoming, and each bedroom is uniquely styled, featuring high-quality linens and wonderfully cozy beds. The expansive, secure garden was a standout feature, and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring every corner. Compton House was ideal for our New Year celebration. The spacious and beautifully decorated house offered luxurious accommodations. The kitchen was particularly impressive with its excellent amenities. Communicating with the owner was a pleasure.

I found it inconvenient that everything had to be managed through an app, which required me to send separate emails for queries. The house we stayed in was beautiful but lacked essential first aid kits. The sofa in the lounge was very uncomfortable, sitting too low to the ground, making it difficult for me with my back pain. My husband had to use a hard armchair instead due to his hernia.
We visit the area every year in late November; this time we booked a house that promised a high-end experience. While the location was excellent, the property itself left much to be desired. It seems the description online is outdated, as the house is in need of significant maintenance. We encountered damaged doors, rotten window frames, and mold in the shower. In addition, the paving was loose and muddy, which was quite unpleasant. For the price charged, we expected much better upkeep and service, which was not the case. We hope this feedback prompts improvements.
