This is another one of those fake loan verification sites, where you get redirected after submitting a loan application, only it turns out to have nothing to do with loans. It's just a financial help guide. All the red flags are there. The top of the screen shows a progress indicator: "1) Submit application, 2) Confirm your details, 3) Open your account" alongside a form to "Verify your account" that asks for credit card details and says "You won't be charged for verification".In reality nothing is being verified. It's just part of an elaborate scam to obtain an unsuspecting person's credit card details so they can later be charged a monthly fee of $34.95 (which of course is only disclosed in tiny print below the form).I signed up for this service to see what it actually provides. I connected my bank account, and then checked under "Recent Transactions", yet there is nothing listed. I guess that part of site isn't working. Then on the homepage of the member's area it says "We couldn’t find your report on the Equifax database. Please get in touch to fix your file." So even the credit report feature isn't functional. And that was supposed to be the main selling point.Lastly I decided, if everything else is broken, maybe I can at least learn something about finances. So I clicked on the Money Advice article titled "When and How to Close Your Bank Account". That lead to a blank page with a broken image on it and the word "null". I went through several other articles, and got the same blank page.Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised that there is also no Privacy Policy or even a copyright notice at the bottom of any pages. Talk about a shady business operation.Clearly nothing on this site is functional, or at least nothing that people would actually pay for. This entire BowCredit is just a facade to mislead people into signing up for identity verification, thinking it's part of the loan application process. Stay away.
