I would give it 0 stars if I could. An absolute 100% scam. Soulless vampiric money grabbers. Unfortunately for anyone reading this it’s likely already too for you. This company scrapes data, tracks cookies, and works with a cartel of shady financial institutions in a network of identity theft schemes and charges you when you never signed up for it. They work through a number of shady but real and also entirely illegitimate financial services companies and lenders (debt consolidation, personal loans etc) you sign up for one of these sites which is supposed to work like an insurance comparison tool where you get quotes. No where in the sign up data are you charged for anything or asked to sign up for a paid service, you just give bear bones information to compare quotes for loans and programs. Well, once you do you’ll end up like me - $300 worth of fraudulent charges on my bank statement from 4 different entities all from within 2 business days of the quote comparison and lender matching results. I froze the account immediately and 2 of the original four and an additional new entity tried to take more of money. ALL 5 “businesses” I had never seen, nor heard of. I didn’t have an existing account associated with my information at two and following a fraud affidavit there was nothing that tied me to a contract or any permissions/submission of data for paid services and the charges were blocked and I was given refunds by my bank. Of the remaining three, I did have accounts, I just hadn’t made them, like at all. I had no prior emails in my inbox or spam from them and when I signed in online they had my email but said my “account had not been set up yet” Once activating I went to cancel them and for the first one - I could only cancel via paper mail sent to a P.O. Box in Deleware… it said they were only authorized to accept USPS Standard Mail and to “allow 7-14 business days for receipt” “5-7 business days for review and decision” and “5-7 days for refund transfers” Entity number 2 offered email cancelation as well as a customer service line for account closures. I sent 3 emails in 2 days and never received a response. Weeks later I hadn’t received a response. I called their “customer service line” which had four different options, none of them being account cancelation or management, I tried all four and 1 took you to hokey regional bank in Atlanta’s local branch customer service line, one was a never ending sequence of AI voice prompts that didn’t allow you to do anything other than get BS information about their “offerings” the third put me on hold where I waited I kid you not 3 hours for someone to join and was never connected with a representative and offered no option for a callback, and the final number transferred then said it was out of serviceThe last of the three was StrongBow itself. Which offered both a customer support line and online closure. I had to “finish account set up even though they were already charging me” then try to cancel. The online cancelation would try a series of tricks to get you to not actually hit buttons and cancel and was deliberately vague as to if you had actually succeeded in closed the account. I had to log back out at in two times, verify an email, and the finally it said “before you go tell us why you’re leaving” there were 5 options and no matter which you chose the page would time out and reset. I chose all 5 answers across 10 different attempts on my mobile device, each time logging out and back in to see if my account and “subscription” had been closed. It of course wasn’t. I tried then on my Mac - same issue, I tried then on my Destop - same issue, I tried on cellular data on my iPad - same issue, I tried on another wifi network with a different IP address and it didn’t work there. At this time I attempted multiple calls into their provided customer support line. Each time I got an international number and dial tone that connected and said “this number cannot currently accept new messages, goodbye”This company is as big a scam as scams get. Their “interface” is a joke it’s a few pages of poor web design that do nothing and say nothing. How scams like this still are allowed to exist in 2025 is baffling. Based on what they tried to do to me and how much they tried to take from me in such little time despite not even having an account and not signing up id have to imagine they’re bleeding thousands of people dry of their hard earned money, I’ve submitted as many reports as I can and my bank has relayed me and done their fraud work on the back end. It’s just sad, hopefully someone with authority eventually does something about these types of things.
