I had a SUP lesson with an instructor who took time to explain important aspects like wind, currents, and safety. She was excellent at demonstrating how to get into the water, transition from sitting to standing, and paddle effectively. I managed to stand on my first attempt and was paddling confidently by my second try. We spent around 40 minutes paddling in the bay and finished up with some stretches on the board. I enjoyed it so much that I rented a board for another hour in the afternoon.
