Beware! I'm shocked that a public figure endorses such a deceptive scheme! I registered for my granddaughter in another state last December 2024 for an overpriced set of books. The initial reviews were positive, and I wanted to share the message. I was pleased with the year of stories. HOWEVER, I was unexpectedly charged for a second year on 12/2/25! They retained my credit card information for a year and automatically re-enrolled me for another year! It cost $240 last year, and I can’t afford another year! I NEVER agreed to another year, nor did I communicate with them about it! This feels like fraud, as the customer support team was messaging me back and forth (acknowledging my concerns), and I thought it was just a simple misunderstanding on THEIR part. They waited without informing me that a FULL year's charge was imminent. I had no clue! I contacted my credit card company, but the UNEXPECTED charge was already there. I will contest this. They are not honest. Essentially, the support department said sorry to lose me, but they can’t issue a refund!!! What? They don’t even send the first book of the monthly series until January!!! So BEWARE, don’t be naive, as that’s what they are banking on!
