I chose Britannia Fleet to move my personal belongings from the UK to Germany, and the experience has been extremely stressful, unclear, and costly. I was always open and transparent about my situation: my goods were stored in the UK while I was living and working in Malawi, and I moved directly from Malawi to Germany. At no point was I warned that German customs would refuse duty-free entry because my belongings were not physically in my country of residence immediately before relocation.Had I been given correct advice, I could easily have flown via the UK or arranged for my goods to come directly from Malawi, avoiding this entire issue. Instead, I received no guidance about the risk of duty and taxes, no explanation of the customs implications, and no support in preparing the correct paperwork. I was also never informed that additional charges might apply.As a result, I have now been told I must pay around €600 in duty/taxes and €750 for redelivery — costs I was not prepared for and not responsible for creating. The communication has been inconsistent, last-minute, and lacking in transparency, with constantly shifting explanations and unexpected invoices. This has left me without my household goods for months and facing significant extra payments despite already paying the full quoted relocation fee.This company has not provided the professional clarity or support expected from an international moving service, and I cannot recommend them based on my experience.Also, SO many items stolen which can never be replaced. Do not trust this company.
