I pay for a subscription for my elderly mother. The payment comes from my account and therefore the subscription is with me. She no longer wants to have this service and it is now out of contract. I called to cancel and was told it would not be possible because both my mother and I would have to be on the call at the same time. She lives 450 miles away. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that was not possible several times being told that there weren’t any managers or anyone to speak to and that essentially we couldn’t cancel the subscription. I have blocked the payment at the bank and am writing to the company. It is outrageous that something that I pay for (and therefore legally have the contact) I am unable to cancel.
