I became a BrokerLink customer when they acquired my previous broker, Direct Line Insurance. Unfortunately, the transition significantly impacted the level of service I was accustomed to. I went from having a dedicated contact I could reach directly, to calling a 1-866 number, waiting on hold anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes, and speaking with a different representative each time.Email communication with BrokerLink is slow—expect a response within approximately five business days. If you ask a follow-up or clarifying question (which is often necessary due to vague or inaccurate initial responses), you’ll likely wait another five days, if not longer, and hear back from someone new, with no continuity in service.In my experience, the information provided has often been incorrect or inconsistent, leaving me with little confidence in their expertise. When renewal time comes, I won’t hesitate to switch to a different brokerage.One final note: unless you specifically request it, BrokerLink will not compare your renewal quote with other options. This lack of proactive service is yet another reason I’ll be moving on.
