I honestly don't know why the reviews are so bad for this company. They are the best I've used in South Africa and I've used over a dozen in the last 5 years of living here. The mail here is just terrible, period. I don't know what the problem is here, but one time I had a package get lost in a blackhole or something and I went to the post office and they started flipping through a 10 year old, dirty, handwritten logbook for my package so that might have something to do with it... But anyways, Buffalo's tracking was extremely informative. I must have had over 20 updates, sometimes 4 or 5 in a single day. From arrival, to processing, to what they were preparing my package for next. The package arrived early and the only thing I'd change is that last update. For some reason, it does say "out for delivery" as soon as it arrives at the final hub for delivery. And it might take 2 or 3 days for them to actually put it on a truck and take it to your street. But fortunately, after using them, it's perfectly fine because it doesn't just say "out for delivery" those three days like the people who only have something bad to say, no, I got 3 updates, one being a text from the driver himself saying he's coming with my package and to let him know if I'm not in today. So, nothing's perfect, but this is as close as it gets in South Africa... This company was extremely efficient and a breath of fresh air if you ask me.
