We had been searching for a company to install a drive for some time and after a number of companies let us down and messed us about we were starting to feel we wouldn't find a company. Then totally by luck i came across a recommendation on Facebook for Build a Drive. Even though they are fairly local to us, we hadn't come across them before but i am so glad we did. Initially completing the instant quote online, within half an hour i received a courtesy call to discuss how they can assist me. We made an appointment for a few days later. Right from the start, we were met with professionalism, courtesy but most of all knowledge. We have no idea when it comes to things like this so having the trust in the company is imperative. We were advised what is the best plan and material to use for our needs, along with timeframes, costs and the process. On providing a formal quote a start date was received quicker than expected. I received regular calls from the office providing me with updates and what to expect running up to the start date along with all through the process. I didn't have to call to chase or follow up any queries once, that was a major plus for me following all the messing about with previous companies. On the first day the excavation of the area was completed, leveled and first base hardcore installed. I was surprised how much had been completed in a short timeframe. The next day was the edging for the drive and vehicle crossing ready for the first level of tarmac. The final process was the finish and top level of tarmac. Taking the advice to have a wider area and choose tarmac was the best decision we made. Our street is often met with lots of parked cars due to a school being close by, having the extra width enables us to park no matter where cars are parked. The tarmac is perfectly smooth and angled slightly for drainage which has definitely been put to the test over the last couple of weeks of heavy rain, no puddles and the rain just simple runs off the tarmac. Couldn't be happier with our drive, best decision we made to have Build a Drive complete it. Thanks to all the staff at Build a Drive! We 100% recommend them.
