I understood that Burncoose have an excellent reputation in the plant world so I had no hesitation in registering an online interest with them in March 25 for a Magnolia Royal Purple. I contacted them by phone midsummer to check things were on track and this was confirmed by them. Not having heard from them by August I emailed for information and received a response from Ali who told me I was on the list and I would be contacted by email as soon as the tree arrived. In fact she helpfully put my name down again just to make nothing went wrong. I rang again in October when I was informed it would be Nov/Dec for delivery, I was on the list and would be emailed etc. When I hadn’t heard anything by 5/12 I rang again, only to be informed that the trees had actually all arrived and been sold already. It’s a very rare tree (which I already knew and why it had been requested long in advance).I cannot express how disappointed and angry I feel having been treated in this manner by a company who are supposed to be among the best. If I hadn’t contacted them I would still be waiting in expectation of an email.I will certainly not order from this company again.
