I cannot say enough good things about Yakiv and his beautiful tongue drums. After much research, we discovered Yakiv and we are so thankful that we did! He helped us choose a good scale for us to start out with, accommodated a special request with nothing but grace and kept us abreast of the process. He answered ALL of my many questions and the resulting creation was beyond our expectations. I wondered secretly if he used some reverb on his videos because they sounded so good online. I can unequivocally say: he does not. Right out of the (very well-packaged) box, we were stunned by the beauty of the sound that we got on our Ember model. And, aesthetically, it's gorgeous. I ordered the Ocean Blue Spark in C Celtic direct from the website and could not be happier. Considering the challenges of running a business in a war zone, shipping was fast and efficient, and the drum itself is a thing of beauty…perfect balance of deep rich tone and portability. Good resonance and crystal clear notes. Perfectly tuned. Much easier to play with fingers than I expected and sounds great with the included mallets. Conversations with the owner/craftsman have been a blessing as well. Highly recommended.
