This is nothing short of a scam. I to got sucked into the premium service without warning. When I tried to cancel I found it was near impossible. I stopped payment with PayPal and 4 month later got a letter from a debt collection agency in Luxembourg. When I contacted c-date they basically said that the email id sent them to cancel my subscription wasn’t valid so there was nothing they could do. Absolute scum. Steer well clear. Update post c-date response: I emailed you to cancel my subscription as your website and online form make this impossible. You know that you make it as hard as possible to cancel the subscription, this is obviously part of your business model.I have reached out to your service team and they are obstructive and unhelpful. I reiterate -you are perhaps the worse company I have had to deal with… ever. Have a word with yourselves. Second update: As I have clearly stated, I couldn’t cancel via your website because the account wasn’t registered to an email address I knew. I emailed you one month before cancelling via PayPal and didn’t receive a reply. I have explained this to your customer service team multiple times. I have reached out to your customer service team and they have continued to be obstructive and dismissive. Sending the same circular replies. As a business you refuse to take any responsibility for your actions. Your actions are morally disgusting. Your business model is clearly designed to exploit people. I suggest if you haven’t got the skills to compete in the dating market in a moral way you should admit you’re useless and go and do something else with your lives, preferably away from the rest of society. Update 3: stop trying to sound professional and empathetic on here. Its nonsense. Your answers are circular both on here and with your customer service team. You don’t care about your ‘customers’, you’re scammers.
