I want to start by noting that the company ultimately waived the entire moving fee except for the $50 deposit. As someone in customer service, I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly — but this experience was truly unacceptable. Our movers were “delayed” four different times, each with a new excuse, ultimately pushing our move to an additional day. These delays forced us to extend our rental at our own cost. Each time a new arrival window was given, I was also provided with a new customer support number. No one ever answered. I consistently waited hours for callbacks from representatives and then managers, just to receive basic updates. The lack of communication was a nightmare. When the movers finally arrived — the two individuals we had booked — it became clear they were not professional movers. One was capable, but the other could barely lift more than 30–40 lbs, making them ineffective for a job that required moving heavy furniture. This isn't a criticism of the individual, but rather of the company that sent them. To complicate matters, the movers mentioned they had responded to an ad late the night before. This indicates that during our last call with the company around 6 PM — when we were assured movers were secured for the next day — they did not actually have workers lined up. The company advertises professional movers; these individuals stated they had never moved anything before. To be clear: none of this falls on the workers who showed up. The failure lies entirely with the company’s operations, staffing practices, and communication. Overall, this was a completely horrible experience, and the waived fee does not come close to compensating for the stress, time lost, and additional costs incurred. TL;DR: Don’t overlook reviews when hiring movers. Seek personal recommendations. And avoid the company.
