I was left disappointed about the treatment I received from 27-29 October. I was told on 27 October that my gas would be turned off on 28 October for a few hours in the afternoon - someone would have to come into the house to turn it back on. I ensured I was available however nothing happened. I had to go out on the afternoon of 29 October- nothing happened during the morning - but I got home at 5.00 to find my gas had been turned off and all the workers had disappeared. I called the emergency number you provided and was told that all the engineers were busy on call outs in Staines/Slough - they would TRY and get to me. Was I supposed to go all night without gas?I am a vulnerable pensioner and I am horrified that this was allowed to happen - and probably happens often - surely one worker should have been left on duty - it was only 5.00?
