I thought I could smell gas in my porch, where the gas meter is and a Cadent van had parked outside my house. I approached the driver and mentioned it to him. He was attending another address a couple of doors away and said he would call as soon as he had done the survey at the other address. I wasn’t sure whether he would, but sure enough he came and used a meter which did detect an escape which he phoned to report.Our house was then checked thoroughly and a replacement part was put onto the joint at the meter.There were two engineers and both were very helpful and sorted the problem out quickly and efficiently.The job no was 3004175811 and the names of the engineers were Wayne and Mo - employee no 60000018.
