In the summer before my final year of medical school I unfortunately had an injury to my face. As the injury healed I was left with redness, swelling and textural differences. I was deeply upset about my situation and felt scared about permanent scarring. Dr Nathan Holt was so kind at consultation and I quickly felt relieved to have him as my doctor and trusted him to make a treatment plan for me. I am now one month after my third V Beam treatment. The redness and swelling has cleared and my skin barrier has healed. Any remaining textural and pigment differences are coverable with make up and I feel that I can resume my life and feel comfortable in my own skin again. I will graduate this summer and as a future doctor I have learnt first hand how vulnerable the patient can feel and how important it is that the doctor gets the treatment right for the patient. I am grateful to have Dr Nathan Holt on my journey guiding any needed future treatment.
