We hired a Maxie 3 campervan for our two week Queensland trip. The pick up experience at the Cairns depot was easy with friendly and helpful staff. A video about the van was offered to be shown to us, but it all seemed self-explanatory and there was a QR code link to the instruction manual on the windscreen if we needed anymore information. The van came with everything that we needed. The top berth was a bit tricky to set up and get into, but I got used to it after a few days. The van ran well, though the high top does cause a bit of drag and wobble when driving at higher speeds (feels like driving in strong winds). Drop off was also easy and stressfree. The returning depot at Brisbane is a 20 minite drive from the airport and further from the CBD, but there is a train station within walking distance.
